TO THROW THE POWERS OF THOUGHT INTO WHEEL-WORK） 近年、閲覧可能なチャールズ・バベッジの著作物が増えつつあり、数では劣るが、エイダ・ラブレースの著作についても同様。Martin Campbell-Kellyが編んだ1000ドルの11巻本The Works of Charles Babbageが、1989年に刊行された。オンラインでは、バベッジ作のPassages from the Life of a Philosopher (1864), On the Economy of Machinery and Manufactures (1832), The Ninth Bridgewater Treatise (1838) の全文をスキャンしたファイルが、Googleのブック・プログラムで閲覧できる。そこにはまだ（2010年現在）収録されていないが、同じくらい信頼性が高いのが、息子の著したBabbage’s Calculating Engines: Being a Collection of Papers Relating to Them (1889) である。コンピューター時代に入って関心が高まり、これらの書籍に記された有用な題材の多くが、選集の形で復刻されている。最も価値が高いのは、Philip MorrisonとEmily Morrisonの編んだCharles Babbage and His Calculating Engines (1961) 、Anthony HymanのScience and Reform: Selected Works of Charles Babbage (1989) だろう。J.
